SEATTLE, March 4, 2002 — RealNetworks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), the global leader in Internet media delivery, today announced an agreement with Intel Corporation, the world´s largest computer chip maker, to distribute the RealOneTM Player on Intel´s® newest PC desktop boards. The inclusion of the award-winning RealOne Player will add value to Intel® desktop boards; computer manufacturers and system integrators will now be able to easily integrate the RealOne Player into their PCs, while consumers will enjoy the convenience of having the RealOne Player on their desktop the first time they turn on their new computer.

"We couldn´t be happier about extending our relationship with Intel," said Steve Banfield, vice president, Strategic Relations, RealNetworks. "The addition of RealOne Player to Intel´s motherboards will allow both PC manufacturers and end-users to quickly install and use the single best multimedia application on the web."

"RealOne is a great application for driving broadband multimedia," said Joel Christensen, marketing director of Intel´s Desktop Platform Solutions Division. "After Intel´s previous success in distributing RealNetworks´ products with our PC desktop boards, we are quite confident that the RealOne Player will be a welcome addition for Intel value added resellers."

An all-in-one service and technology platform, the RealOne Player integrates media playback, download and management with a media browser, a content discovery window and the RealOne content subscription service. RealOne is the web´s premier source for discovering, playing and managing the best in brand-name digital programming. This breakthrough service, which today boasts more than a half-million paid subscribers, features sports, entertainment and news programming from ABCNEWS.com, CNN, E! Networks, FOXSports.com, MLB, NASCAR.com, the NBA, among others.

Today´s agreement marks the latest development in an ongoing strategic relationship between RealNetworks and Intel. The companies have collaborated on both video technology and distribution arrangements for several years, the latest being the announcement that the RealOne Player will be supported by Intel´s mobile chipsets, the Intel® Xscale microarchitecture and the Intel® Strong ARM technology to enable audio and video on mobile devices.
